About Me

My approach to design is to provide aesthetically beautiful interior spaces that are also highly functional for the client.  My aesthetic is one of traditional design freshened with modern updates.  Many of my clients are also collectors and incorporating their pieces into their interiors helps to create personalized and interesting interiors.

Having grown up in the South, I have always had an interest in history and art as well as a deep respect for tradition.  I have also been fortunate to travel extensively in the United States and abroad being exposed to a broad range of architecture and decorative arts and styles.  This background has enhanced my ability to successfully combine differing design elements to create a unique whole.  My portfolio reflects the diversity of my clients from a young family in a New York City condominium to a retired couple in a North Carolina mountain retreat.   I currently serve on the Board of the Decorative Arts Trust, a national organization devoted to the study of the decorative arts in the United States and abroad.

My ultimate goal for any project is for the final product to reflect the client’s taste and sense of refinement while providing a welcoming and comfortable space.
